Hanwha signed the agreement with the national not-for-profit defence trade association on the first day of the DSEI 2023 conference at the ExCeL exhibition centre in London Docklands.
Under the agreement signed by HA president and chief executive officer Jae-il Son and Make UK Defence director-general Andrew Kinniburgh, HA will become the headline partner at the Make UK Defence Summit in late November this year.
“On the first day of DSEI 2023, (Hanwha Aerospace) made significant strides toward expanding its partnerships with UK industry,” a Hanwha Aerospace statement said.
The company will become a strategic partner of the association of United Kingdom’s small and midsize enterprises, the statement said.
Hanwha also recently generated headlines at the 31st International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, Poland.
The company held a tour of their defence products with Polish President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, while also visiting 1st Artillery Brigade in Wegorzewo which uses 24 Korean K9A1 self-propelled howitzers.
