“Since the signing of the agreement in December 2021, we have done a tremendous amount of work with all services of the enterprise,” according to Kalashnikov Concern JSC president Alan Lushnikov.

“New technological documentation was developed, equipment was purchased, and additional staff were recruited.

“As of today, the products have been delivered to the warehouse for shipment to India.”

The first batch of rifles are expected to be produced out of the Korwa Ordnance Factory in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, and India is the first country to start producing the AK-200-series assault rifles under the government of India’s Defence Acquisition Procedure 2020.

The rifle has a number of modern design features, such as a folding and adjustable buttstock, a windowed and rifled magazine, an ergonomic pistol grip, and a 30-shot magazine.
