The MOU was signed at the Danish embassy in Washington DC by Steen Lynenskjold, executive vice president for government and partnerships at Terma, and Robert Fitzpatrick, president, requirements and capabilities, representing Raytheon.

The agreement highlighted the growing cooperation between Denmark and the United States in the defence industry and further underscores the strategic importance of this partnership.

The agreement emphasised the complementary strengths of both companies, leveraging Terma’s engineering expertise and Raytheon’s breadth of next-generation defence solutions and position as one of the largest defence contractors in the world, according to the companies.

“We are excited to deepen our collaboration with Raytheon, a company that shares our commitment to technological excellence and innovation in the defence industry,” Lynenskjold said.

“This agreement represents a major milestone for Terma, allowing us to expand our role in key international markets and to further contribute to the defence capabilities of both Denmark and the United States.”

The new MOU outlined the framework for future projects and fosters a more integrated approach to shared initiatives. While the specific terms of the agreement remain confidential, the partnership aims to explore a wide range of potential opportunities such as enhancing defence technologies and developing advanced systems to meet the evolving demands of global security.

“Our relationship with Terma will bring critical maritime and integrated air and missile defence capabilities to meet the demands of our joint European customers today and into the future,” Fitzpatrick said.

This expanded collaboration between Terma and Raytheon underscores a continued commitment to innovation and excellence within the defence sector, further solidifying the bond between US and Danish defence industries.
