Orbital UAV has commenced the delivery of engines to Insitu Pacific as part of the Australian Army’s tactical uncrewed aerial systems.
Boeing subsidiary Insitu Pacific was selected by the Commonwealth as a preferred supplier for LAND 129 Phase 3 in March, providing delivery and initial support for the Integrator UAS, ground systems, and prime systems integrator services.
Orbital UAV was contracted as primary engine supplier for Insitu.
“We are incredibly proud to support Insitu Pacific in the delivery of the Integrator UAS to the Australian Army,” Todd Alder, CEO and managing director of Orbital UAV, said.
“We have been working closely with the Insitu Pacific team over recent months to ensure the on-time delivery of their propulsion system requirements to support delivery of the Integrator to Army through 2023 and 2024. First engine shipments are a significant milestone in this program of work and our broader relationship with Insitu Pacific.”
The Integrator UAS is designed to provide continuous intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities.
