Glynn Phillips is Chief Executive of BAE Systems Australia. He is keen to talk up the opportunities to come from a continuous shipbuilding industry. BAE Systems is one of three companies bidding to build the nine future frigates as part of the SEA 5000 program. He says the project will require thousands of workers to build and support its nine Anti-Submarine Warships over their 35-year service life, and the project will have ripple effect on the wider Australian economy.
